School Teaching week 1

 As part of the B. Ed. Curriculum of Kerala university fourth semester school internship phase 2 began on 8th February 2021.  Due to the pandemic situation of COVID 19 internship took place online as like the third semester.  Government High School Kandala was my school for three weeks. We took permission from the Headmistress of the school and biology teacher gave me the topic to be taught.  She asked me to took charge of 8th standard. 8A, Malayalam medium was my class for 4 classes. Due to the shortage of students I was asked to move on to 8B english medium. My first class was on 9th February. I took the topic taxonomy and taught it well. On 10th, 11th and 12th of February I taught the chapter Why classification?  for 8A. 5th class onwards I was asked to teach 8B and I began new chapter Diversity for Sustenance. Those students were very active than the other class and number of students also increased. It was a beautiful experience with students eventhough not comfortable as offline classes. Students responded very well. I gave them homeworks everyday and they submitted it correctly. The first week was so good and I did my job very well. I felt satisfaction in my teaching but preferred offline teaching .
